In this series of work I considered the impressionist painters who's work inspired my own practice, I "zoomed in" to those works, mimicking the paint strokes with the yarn I dyed. The colors are not ones I usually gravitate towards, I wanted to shake things up, to reset my practice and the warm tones did just that, energizing the studio again. This piece can be hung on the wall, or used as a meditation mat, a nod to this work's roots in rug making.
