Luminus Cave

For the one who helps me shine.

Who finds the thread for me to pull.

The one who interprets my reluctance and hands me the hammer to break down the walls no longer needed.

All my love, always.

Gratitude Project Part V

For a dear, far away friend

To remind her of her Artist Heart.

Keep exploring.

Sharing Art, Sending Love III

The third instalment of the sponsored Gratitude Project .

Sent anonymously.

To one who is loved, held by magical forces.

Love in chartreuse.

Wool/silk, cotton thread, glass beads, a simple, special stone.

Sharing Art, Sending Love Part II

For a woman making a change, moving closer to her resonance.

Inspired by the Manipura chakra, our center of personal power, yellow, Ram in chanting.

A new adventure.

Held in love.

Always.

Gratitude Project Part IV

For the baker who builds fire with wood and sweat.

Loaves and pies and pizzas, caressed by hand and smoke.

Fresh flour, yeast, apples and cheese. Mountain air.

Let the embers burn, deep black-red, with love.

(The color is wonky, but the movement is true.)

Sharing Art, Sending Love Part I

Every day, a blue feather day.

This is the first cocoon birthed out of the sponsored Gratitude Project. The Giver requested a cocoon of blue, and thoughts of feathers and light for her Reciever.

It was so much fun to create this with the support of the Giver, I've said it before, I'll say it again- I love collaborating with people to create beauty. It's so much fun for me to interpret an emotion/intention into color, wool and beads, especially with the challenge of translating through someone else's point of view.

For this one, I used bright blue, periwinkle and copper beads, vibrant turquoise thread and a wee opal, shining it's rainbow.

I have another to start working on now, and can't wait to get started on it!

In Gratitude: Part 3

A welcome.

Reaching out to connect.

New neighbors, new town, new walls, new sounds.

She left the islands, to find the heat of the desert.  A house-cooling of sorts

(it's too hot for housewarming).

Firey orange, cooled with ocean dreams and turquoise hopes.

My gift to another, to see, to share.

In Gratitude Parts 1 & 2

A love letter to my fellow artists.

Dear beloved souls,

You are not alone, I see you.

Keep making, keep writing, keep struggling to express that push behind your heart, the spark in your mind, the good fight in your eyes.

Weather the storm.

Wake up in the morning, stay up late into the night. Savor the afternoon. Greet your muse like an old friend, learn to lay fallow when she takes a vacation (perhaps... you need one too?).  Pour yourself some tea, drink some water, don't forget to eat.  Get out of your studio and doodle.  Rest.

Listen.

Breathe.

Create.

So much love,

Cat
